Podpadstudios was built on the creation of artistic elements for film, TV, and exhibitions. Over the years, we have developed a significant collection of our own Artistic creations which we are able to make available for hire across the UK.
Over the last 15 years we have been hired for hundreds of events and millions people have been entertained by our handmade interactive creations. Combine this with our significant social media following, generating excitement and interest before the event and you know why our clients book us. Again and again!
What is special about a Podpadstudios creations is how they are built. Every one of our creations is built from recycled and repurposed materials, all fully interactive. At the heart of each of our creations is the power plant: a powered wheelchair motor or motors. Combine this with our radio control and autonomous object recognition systems and you have something very unqiue for any event.
We don't offer the usual dry hire replica film props or static backdrops at any events.
We offer the opportunity to meet the Artists that created these creations. Our conversations with the public revolve around "How did you make it?" talking about electronics, 3-D printing, welding and also planning, culture and the aesthetics of the design as well as our unique method of building with recycled and repurposed materials.
With a background in education, we also have experience of attending S.T.E.A.M. (Science Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) events and many of our followers on social media are actually makers themselves or involved in cosplay, film or craft-related activities.

We have invested in our own delivery vehicles so you can rely on us. We have much experience dealing with the public, Public Liability Insurance and always complete full risk assessments.

Podpadstudios Ltd is a creative manufacturing company with workshops based in Swindon,Wiltshire, UK. We specialise in artistic creations for exhibitions, TV, and film.
It is a family-run business with husband and wife team, Anna and Mark Enright, who share a passion for building unusual creations.
As well as working within the Film, TV and Entertainment industries both company directors have alter egos.

Ethos and Inspiration
In a world filled with items made from plastic and moulded in the 'Jetsons style', with mass produced products filling the shelves in shops it seems that the element of craftsmanship is dying.
There is no replacement for an item made by hand with all the care and attention to detail that involves.
At Podpadstudios we create items that explore technology and design through a different telescope.
The use of recycled and repurposed material plays a significant role in all our creations. Our 1/6 scale models mainly produced for film are all made from 100% recycled metal. Many of our creations explore the vision of a dystopian future using both modern and historic materials
With all of our creations you are immersed into an interactive experience either through interacting with an animatronic robot or experiencing the fantasy world of our Dragons. It is fair to say that we have a passion for everything Retro-fusturist and futuristic.
Our Artistic inspiration comes from many great sources including artists and engineers from the past, such as H.R.Giger and Isambard Kingdom Brunel and from the writing of Jules Verne as well as the modern world or AI.
